Questions,

Real answers about websites, SEO, private practice marketing, AI search, and getting found online.
You do not need to know everything about websites, Google, SEO, or digital marketing before asking for help. That is literally what I am here for.

01 / Mental Health
Therapists + Mental Health Practices
Do therapists need a website if they already have Psychology Today?
I think you should have both.
Psychology Today can be an important place for potential clients to discover you, especially when they are searching by location, insurance, specialty, or availability.
Your website does something different. It gives you space to explain who you are, who you help, what therapy with you might look like, and what someone should do next.
It also gives Google another way to find your practice.
Think of Psychology Today as one door into your practice. Your website is your home.
How do therapists get more private pay clients?
There is no single trick.
Private pay marketing usually works best when your website, Psychology Today profile, Google presence, specialties, messaging, and referral network all support each other.
Potential clients need to quickly understand what you specialize in, whether you may be a good fit, how much services cost, and how to contact you.
Removing confusion is a huge part of marketing.
What should a therapist website include?
At minimum, I recommend a clear homepage, About page, Services page, contact or consultation page, and information about how therapy works.
Depending on your practice, you may also benefit from individual specialty pages, clinician profiles, insurance and private pay information, FAQs, location pages, and educational resources.
Most importantly, someone should never have to hunt around your website trying to figure out how to contact you.
What makes a mental health website different from a regular business website?
Mental health websites require a different level of trust.
Someone visiting your site may be anxious, overwhelmed, researching therapy for the first time, looking for help for their child, comparing therapists, or trying to understand insurance.
Your website needs to be clear without feeling clinical, welcoming without making promises, and informative without overwhelming someone.
I spent years working inside a mental health practice before building Zoe Delivered. I approach these websites from both sides: marketing and the actual client journey.
Can you build websites for solo therapists?
Yes.
I work with individual therapists, associates, licensed clinicians, and other mental health professionals who need anything from a simple professional website to a larger SEO focused site.
Can you work with group practices?
Yes.
Group practices often need more structure because there are multiple clinicians, specialties, locations, insurance options, and ways clients can enter the practice.
I have direct experience working with those systems and understanding how marketing connects to referrals and client placement.
Can you help associate therapists build a professional online presence?
Yes. Associates deserve a professional presence too.
Your website and online profiles can clearly communicate your experience, specialties, services, and supervision information while helping potential clients understand who you are.
Can you help improve my Psychology Today profile?
Yes.
Your Psychology Today profile should work alongside your website rather than exist completely separately from it.
I can review your profile for clarity, specialties, location, insurance information, client focused language, calls to action, and consistency with the rest of your online presence.
Why am I getting Psychology Today views but no consultations?
Views do not always equal intent.
Sometimes people are finding the profile but not immediately understanding who the therapist helps, what makes them different, whether they accept their insurance, or what to do next.
Your photo, opening lines, specialties, location, availability, website, and overall positioning can all affect what happens after someone views your profile.
Should every therapist in a group practice have their own page?
Usually, yes.
Individual clinician pages give potential clients a chance to understand each therapist’s personality, specialties, populations, approach, and availability.
They can also create additional opportunities for the practice to appear in relevant searches.
But I think there is another reason clinicians should build their own professional presence.
You may love the group practice you work for, but you probably will not work there forever. Your career belongs to you.
Maybe one day you want to open your own private practice. Maybe you want to see a few private pay clients on the side when your employment agreement allows it. Maybe you move, change practices, become licensed, specialize further, or simply want people to be able to find you.
Clients often remember the clinician who helped them more than the name of the company where they received therapy.
Building your professional presence early means you are not starting from zero every time your career changes.
Your practice can have a brand. You should have one too.
02 / Visibility
SEO + Getting Found on Google
What is SEO?
SEO stands for search engine optimization.
Basically, it means making your website easier for search engines to understand and easier for the right people to find.
Good SEO is not about stuffing the same keyword everywhere. It includes your website structure, page content, titles, descriptions, internal links, mobile experience, local presence, authority, and technical setup.
What is local SEO?
Local SEO helps businesses appear when people search for services in a specific area.
Someone might search “therapist in Folsom,” “couples therapist near me,” or “website designer for therapists in California.”
Local SEO can include location focused website content, your Google Business Profile, reviews, consistent business information, and other signals that help search engines understand where and who you serve.
Why isn’t my website showing up on Google?
There can be a lot of reasons.
Your website may be new, Google may not have indexed it yet, your pages may not clearly communicate what you offer, your technical SEO may need work, or you may be competing against established websites.
The first step is figuring out what is actually happening before changing everything.
How long does SEO take?
SEO is usually a long term strategy rather than an overnight fix.
Some changes can improve visibility relatively quickly, especially when a website has obvious technical or content problems. Competitive searches can take significantly longer.
I would rather tell you what is realistic than promise you a number one Google ranking.
Can a new website rank on Google?
Yes, but a new website usually needs time to establish itself.
Clear service pages, useful content, local relevance, internal linking, Google Business Profile optimization, reviews, backlinks, and consistent information across the web can all help build that presence.
Do I need a Google Business Profile?
For many local and service based businesses, I strongly recommend one.
A Google Business Profile can help people discover your business through Google Search and Maps, see reviews, visit your website, and understand what you offer.
Whether it makes sense for a specific telehealth only practice can depend on Google’s eligibility requirements and how the business operates.
Do Google reviews help SEO?
Reviews can support your overall local search presence and, just as importantly, help potential customers decide whether they trust your business.
For healthcare professionals, review collection also needs to be approached thoughtfully because privacy and professional rules matter.
What are keywords?
Keywords are words and phrases people use when searching.
But I care much more about search intent than cramming exact phrases onto a page.
If someone searches “trauma therapist near me,” Google is trying to understand what that person wants. Your website should provide a genuinely useful answer.
Do I need a blog for SEO?
Not necessarily.
I would rather see a business have five excellent service pages than publish twenty generic blog posts nobody needs.
Content becomes useful when it answers questions your actual clients are searching for and supports the services you provide.
Your website does not need more stuff. It needs to make it easier for the right people to find you, trust you, and know what to do next.
03 / What’s Next
AI Search + The Future of Search
Can my business show up in ChatGPT and other AI searches?
Potentially, yes.
AI search systems use information available across the web to understand businesses, services, people, and topics.
Having a clear website, consistent business information, useful content, reviews, mentions from other websites, strong service pages, and clearly demonstrated expertise can make your business easier for both traditional search engines and AI systems to understand.
There is no magic button that guarantees an AI recommendation.
The goal is to build a strong enough online presence that your business is understandable and verifiable.
Is SEO changing because of AI?
Yes, but the fundamentals still matter.
Clear information, trustworthy content, useful answers, strong websites, recognizable expertise, and external credibility are valuable whether someone is searching through Google or asking an AI assistant.
That is why I focus on building an actual digital presence rather than chasing SEO tricks.
How do I make my website easier for AI to understand?
Be specific.
Clearly explain who you are, what you do, who you serve, where you operate, and what experience supports your work.
Use descriptive page titles, organized headings, useful FAQs, detailed service pages, About information, case studies, and consistent business information.
If a human cannot figure out what your company does within a few seconds, a machine may have trouble too.
04 / Your Website
Websites
Can I build my own website?
Absolutely.
Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, and other website builders have made it possible for almost anyone to build a website themselves.
But possible does not always mean it is the best use of your time.
Building a website can be tedious. There is the design, mobile formatting, copy, buttons, forms, SEO, Google setup, accessibility, images, page structure, troubleshooting, and the inevitable moment when something moves three inches for absolutely no reason.
And every hour you spend fighting with your website is an hour you are not seeing clients, running your business, building referral relationships, or doing the work that actually makes you money.
Prioritize what will not overwhelm you.
If you enjoy building your own website, do it. If you get halfway through and realize you would rather be doing literally anything else, hand it over.
You take care of the work you are good at. I’ll take care of the digital.
Is Wix or WordPress better?
Both can be great.
The right platform depends on what you need, how much control you want, who will maintain the website, and how complex the site needs to become.
I work with both Wix and WordPress and would rather recommend the platform that makes sense for your business than sell you on one because it is trendy.
Can you redesign my current website without starting over?
Often, yes.
Sometimes a website has a perfectly good foundation but needs stronger messaging, better mobile design, clearer calls to action, improved SEO, or an overall visual refresh.
I will tell you when I think something can be fixed instead of automatically recommending a complete rebuild.
Why does my website look good on a computer but terrible on my phone?
Desktop and mobile layouts behave differently.
Spacing, text sizes, buttons, images, menus, forms, and sections all need to be checked on smaller screens.
This matters because many of your potential clients will meet your business from their phone first.
What is a call to action?
A call to action tells someone what to do next.
Examples include Start Therapy, Schedule a Consultation, Request an Appointment, Start Your Project, or Get Your Website Audit.
A website can look beautiful and still lose potential clients if nobody knows what they are supposed to click.
How much does a website cost?
It depends on what you actually need.
A simple website for a solo professional is very different from a group practice website with multiple clinicians, specialties, locations, integrations, and SEO pages.
I believe pricing should make sense for the size and needs of the business.
If you are not sure whether your current website needs a rebuild, redesign, or just some strategic fixes, start with an audit.
What is a website audit?
A website audit is basically a professional second set of eyes on your digital presence.
I review areas like mobile experience, website structure, calls to action, SEO foundations, clarity, user experience, and opportunities you may be missing.
My Website + Local SEO Audit is designed for business owners who know something could be better but do not know where to start.
05 / Let’s Work Together
Working With Zoe Delivered
Who does Zoe Delivered work with?
I specialize in therapists and mental health practices because that is where much of my professional background comes from.
I also work with local and service based businesses, beauty and self care professionals, Black and POC owned businesses, and professionals who need a stronger digital presence.
Do you only work with businesses in California?
No.
I am based in California, but website design, SEO strategy, audits, and digital marketing services can be provided remotely.
Do you work with Black and POC owned businesses?
Absolutely.
Helping Black and POC owned businesses build visibility online is an important part of Zoe Delivered.
Great businesses should not be invisible because they did not have a giant marketing budget or someone teaching them how digital marketing works.
My goal is to help make the digital side easier to understand and easier to use.
What if I have a small budget?
Tell me.
You may not need a brand new website.
Sometimes the smartest first step is fixing your existing site, improving your Google presence, cleaning up your SEO foundations, or identifying the few changes most likely to make a difference.
That is one reason I offer a Website + Local SEO Audit.
Do I need to understand SEO before working with you?
No.
Please do not spend three nights trying to teach yourself SEO just so you can talk to me.
Tell me what you are trying to accomplish. I can explain what matters, what does not, and what I recommend in normal language.
How do I know what service I need?
You do not have to.
If your answer is basically, “My website isn’t doing what I need it to do,” that is enough to start.
I can help determine whether you need a redesign, SEO work, a new page, better calls to action, a website audit, or something else entirely.
How do I get started?
You can start with a project inquiry if you already know what you need.
If you are not sure, start with the Website + Local SEO Audit.
Either way, we will figure out what makes sense for your business before making this more complicated than it needs to be.
Still have questions?
Good. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out.
Tell me what’s working, what’s not, or what you have been avoiding because
you do not want to deal with it.
